Haiku in focus!

A delegation of 20-30 Haiku poets representing Haiku International Association (http://www.haiku-hia.com/index_en.html) will visit Sweden June 24-28, 2018. The delegation is headed by former Minister of Education, Mr Akito ARIMA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akito_Arima) and includes also the former EU-president Mr Herman Van Rompuy. Two public events are planned: June 26 at the Museum of East Antiquities (Östasiatiska museet) and June 27 at Vallentuna Culture center (kulturhus). Coordinator is Ambassador Lars Vargö, chairman of the Swedish Haiku Association, and the project is co-organized by the Japan Foundation.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Could you kindly provide us with further info on the dates/times/schedules/contents of the Haiku in Focus event in Stockholm on June 26 at the Museum of East Antiquities (Östasiatiska museet)?

We are two haiku enthusiasts from Finland who are interested in learning more about haiku and senryu. We are interested in participating in haiku workshops and other events.

Best Regards,

Hi Rea and Rauni, you’ll just have to keep your eyes posted on the official webpages of the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities http://www.varldskulturmuseerna.se/en/ostasiatiskamuseet/program/the-calendar/ or check with the Swedish Haiku Association http://haiku-shs.org/english.html. We post the details and updates that we receive from the organizers. But so far, no further information seems to be available.
